And how I make it easy to stick with them

Hey friendsāJhonmar here!
As the title of this issue says, I will share with you how I get better at completing my daily habits.
For 2-3 years, I struggled to maintain consistency with my habits. Whenever I missed a day of completing them, a negative voice would creep into my mind, tempting me to postpone it until the next day. This cycle continued for some time and caused me a lot of frustration, not until I read the best-selling book of James Clear, Atomic Habits.
The book, Atomic Habits, is an unbelievable hack for anyone starting to build good habits and stick with them. The book taught me the 4 Laws of Behavior Change, which are crucial in building better habits. These four laws are:
Make it obvious: Having a cue is the simplest and easiest way to start building a habit. An example of this is scheduling. Once it pops up in your notifications, thatās your signal to do it. Relatively easy, right?
Make it attractive: To trick your mind into making your habits, start craving them. Whenever we believe something to be fun and gratifying, we are more likely to do it.
Make it easy: We donāt want to do anything complicated right from the start, so make it easy. For instance, if you build an exercise habit, start with 10 reps and then, over time, increase it by an interval of 5 reps. By doing this, your mind will not think of it as a tiresome thing to do.
Make it satisfying: People nowadays seek instant gratification. We want to feel satisfied right away after completing something. To complement that need when building your habits, find ways to feel it, such as receiving feedback, getting great insights from social media, and treating yourself to good food or an expensive item.
As I incorporate these four laws, I have also included an accountability partnerāmy Habit Tracker. James Clear also states that having an accountability partner when building your habits is a fantastic way to not miss a single day.

My Habit Tracker Inside Notion
The satisfying tick I make every time I open up my habit tracker motivates me more to continue and not break the chain. The clean layout also helps to make it less distracting.
Finally, to make things easier, I placed a Notion widget directly on my phone's home screen, redirecting me to my habit tracker. Quite convenient, right?

My habits are the building blocks of my daily routine. It transformed my unorganized and lost life into one packed with productivity and a healthy lifestyle. With its versatility and customization options, Notion serves as the perfect platform to create a habit-tracking system that works for me. Now, if you're looking for a way to make positive changes in your life, I encourage you to try habit tracking as well.
